M P Birla Institute of Management offers four
specializations – Marketing, Finance, Systems
and Human Resource. A good manager needs to have,
in addition to specialized knowledge in his chosen
field, knowledge about current events having an
impact on business conditions. The idea of having
separate club for each activity has seen the clubs’
number grow to four so far. Completely managed
by the students under the guidance of the faculty,
these clubs meet every week and engage in activities,
which widen the horizons of academic knowledge.
Student discussions apart, these events also see
participation by men of repute from industry who
share their knowledge and perceptions of current
trends. The interactions help students develop
an appreciation for the practical application
of their knowledge and also to develop a managerial
perspective on operation and decision making.
Finance
Club
Open to
all students interested in banking, finance and
investment subjects, the club sponsors the BSE,
NSE and BGSE Investment games and provides awards
for the best performer. A popular forum, this
club sees participation from almost all students.
