Walkathon is a social event conducted annually as part of MPBIM's management fest - PARADIGM. It is an event where students from top B-schools, associate corporates and Individuals from across the city would walk for a noble cause. The Walkathon is aimed at raising funds for a noble cause. Through Walkathon 2006, we were able to raise funds to the extent of Rs. 3.5 lakhs for the mentally challenged children (KPAMRC, Bangalore and Opportunity School, Kodagu).The event was presided by the Lokayukta Chief Santosh Hegde. During the previous years we have been associated with NGOs like Spastics Society of Karnataka (2004), Freedom Foundation (2004), Mathru Blind School (2005) and Rakum Blind School (2005) and have been able to support them.

Walkathon 2008 is scheduled on 10th of April, 2008. This year we would be walking for the under-privileged children of MATHRUSHREE MANOVIKASA KENDRA, GHARWALE SCHOOL (Madikeri) and for the old denizens of GANDHI OLD AGE HOME. Mathru Shree Manovikasa Kendra is a non-governmental Voluntary Organisation Registered under Karnataka Societies Registration Act, working for the welfare of mentally challenged children in Karnataka, with a view to exploring the different facets of a child's development. Gandhi old age home provides basic necessaries like food, clothes and accommodation to special elderly people.

Over the past few years, we have had tremendous support from the likes of top corporate honchos and business houses. The major retail formats and malls have also pitched in for this noble cause and have helped us make the event a huge success. We thank these organizations for supporting us in this initiative.
